New York Knicks Legend Charles Oakley and Knicks owner James Dolan met with Michael Jordan to resolve dispute

James Dolan, the owner of the New York Knicks, and legendary member of the Knicks’ family Charles Oakley got together to resolve their differences with NBA Legend Michael Jordan mediating. In addition to being one of the greatest players in the history of basketball, Michael Jordan is both a fellow NBA owner like Dolan and is a good friend and former teammate with Charles Oakley making him possibly the perfect person to mediate the dispute.

Oakley and Dolan have a history of drama that goes back several years. Charles Oakley claims that when he was first introduced to James Dolan at an NBA event that Dolan just ignored him. According to Oakley, Dolan did not want to have anything to do with him because Dolan was mad about something Oakley had said in the paper years prior.

Last week, however, things turned ugly when midway through the first quarter of a New York Knicks game that Oakley was attending security came to escort him out of the building. Apparently Oakley was not allowed at the game in the first place, and security came to remove him. Unfortunately things turned physical. After shouting and a bit of a tussle, Madison Square Garden security forcibly dragged Oakley out of the building. Afterward, James Dolan banned Oakley from Madison Square Garden while suggesting that Oakley has anger management problems and might be an alcoholic.

Naturally, this did not sit well with New York Knicks fans, nor did it sit well with other NBA stars who showed support for Charles Oakley. Cleveland Cavaliers star Lebron James even went so far as to say “Oakley for President” during one of his post game press conferences following the incident at Madison Square Garden.

It seems the feud has quieted (well, sort of) and the ban appears to be lifted. But Charles Oakley running for President? Maybe. Who knows? Never say never. For now, you can get your “Oakley for President” shirt from BreakingT and show your support for one of the New York's most beloved in these troubling times!
