Prompted by the racial injustice sparking protests across America, BreakingT is taking the following action:
- We’re donating a portion of all sales to Campaign Zero for the month of June, and matching donations from our customers at checkout up to a total of $25,000.
- We're establishing the BreakingT Mentorship Program to support Black entrepreneurs, artists, students and businesses with free services in our areas of expertise.
This isn't our first step towards addressing inequality and providing support to those in need. BreakingT and its customers raised more than $25,000 for COVID-19 relief in April and May.
About Campaign Zero
Campaign Zero, dedicated to decreasing police violence with its #8cantwait initiative, is receiving a portion of all BreakingT sales in June, and we've already donated $1,000. Customers can make an additional donation at checkout, and BreakingT is matching those donations up to a total of $25,000.
About the BreakingT Mentorship Program
The BreakingT Mentorship Program is kicking off by offering free one-on-one time with our leadership team, including our CEO, president and heads of design, business development, marketing and operations.
Black students, artists, entrepreneurs and/or businesses are encouraged to sign up for a remote session to participate in one-on-one discussions and business mentorship in the following areas:
- eCommerce
- digital media
- data analytics
- sports marketing
- commercial licensing
- intellectual property
- retail distribution
- graphic design and illustration
We also plan to expand the BreakingT Mentorship Program to include underserved and underrepresented communities that may benefit from the free services that we have the privilege to offer.
