BreakingT's action-oriented response to racial injustice and the nationwide protests of 2020 is two-fold:
- In June, we're donating a portion of all sales to Campaign Zero and matching customer donations up to a total of $25,000.
- We're establishing the BreakingT Mentorship Program to support Black entrepreneurs, artists, students and businesses with free services in our areas of expertise.
What are the relevant areas of expertise and mentorship?
BreakingT is the leader in real-time licensed sports apparel. We work every day in direct-to-consumer (DTC), e-commerce, data analytics, graphic design and illustration, digital marketing, commercial licensing, intellectual property, retail distribution, production screen printing, software development and more.
We work with pro sports teams, leagues, agencies and players associations, as well as major media companies, national retailers and social platforms. We also have team members with extensive backgrounds in digital media, sales, fundraising, engineering and more.
Really, though, no topic is off-limits. The intention is to provide Black students and professionals with greater access and information.
Who are the different mentors involved?
BreakingT's entire leadership team is making time for this, including Jamie Mottram (President), Alex Welsh (CEO), and Bill Schiazza (Director of Business Development), among others.
How do I sign up to meet with a mentor?
BreakingT mentors are available for mentoring sessions through SCORE, the nation’s largest network of volunteer, expert business mentors dedicated to helping small businesses get off the ground, grow and achieve their goals.
How much does it cost?
Nothing. This is a free service that we're offering to students, artists, entrepreneurs and/or business professionals.
As the program develops, our intention is to partner with organizations and institutions to serve underrepresented communities.
