This week marks an exciting step forward for BreakingT. We’ve officially signed a new licensing agreement with College Football Playoff (CFP) and the timing couldn’t be better. The Associated Press has just released its 2025 preseason Top 25 poll, giving fans their first official look at how the season could take shape.
With this new CFP partnership, BreakingT will be create officially licensed fan gear for the expanded playoff format, which is certain to be filled with amazing plays, dramatic upsets, and tons of memorable moments for fans.
Our product team is already at work developing a dynamic line plan, with support from our fan engagement analytics platform CrowdBreak.
The AP Preseason Top 25: A New No. 1
The AP poll has placed Texas at No. 1 in the preseason rankings for the first time in program history. The Longhorns narrowly edged out Penn State in one of the closest preseason votes on record. Rounding out the top five are Ohio State, Clemson, and Georgia: a mix of traditional powerhouses and recent title contenders.
The poll also reflects the growing depth of talent across the sport, with a record 10 SEC teams ranked. Fans can expect highly ranked matchups almost every week, including Texas at Ohio State, LSU at Clemson, and Notre Dame at Miami.
What the CFP Partnership Means for Fans
Our agreement with the CFP allows us to create official playoff-themed designs for the first time. That means when your team earns a playoff berth—or wins a big postseason game—you can expect new, high-quality BreakingT products to drop quickly, just like we do for regular season moments.
The expanded 12-team playoff format, which debuted last season, also brings more opportunities for teams to make a run. We’ll be ready to celebrate every bracket reveal, upset, and championship moment.
Looking Ahead
The start of college football season is always special, but this year we’re especially grateful to be part of it in a new way. Our focus remains the same: making great products for fans that are timely, relevant, and fun to wear. With the CFP now part of that mission, we’re looking forward to an exciting fall and winter of college football.
