BreakingT continues its expansion into college sports through a new deal with The Brandr Group.
BreakingT and The Brandr Group (TBG) have inked a multi-year partnership to provide BreakingT's social data-driven real-time fan gear as a service to Brandr's collegiate athlete group licensing programs. The offering will be combined with BreakingT's growing roster of university licensing agreements through CLC Learfield IMG College to create fully licensed fan apparel.
Collegiate athletes who join the group licensing programs managed by The Brandr Group will now be able to earn royalty income on products inspired by their big on-field and on-court moments.
Social Listening and Fan Engagement
Central to the partnership is BreakingT's proprietary social listening and trend discovery analytics platform CrowdBreak™, which clusters social data by school to understand fan engagement and consumer intent in real-time. When a big moment happens in college sports, CrowdBreak's algorithm measures the reaction of the fan base on social media and recommends productization based on a set of dimensions.
First Up: University of Alabama athletes
As reported by the Birmingham News, athletes from the University of Alabama have joined one of the first group licensing programs in the country, and BreakingT has launched a line of products featuring their likenesses, including both moment-driven products and "shirseys".
